Mport is translating comedy into dubstep gold along with his new EP, sampling all kinds of beloved movies and exhibits starting from Kill Tony to Spongebob Squarepants to family-favorite Pixar movies like Discovering Nemo.
“This longer EP is predicated round sampling a few of my favourite scenes and media,” Mport explains. “Every thing I used has made me belly-laugh to tears sooner or later, personally, so I needed so as to add my manufacturing twist on them. Additionally, it makes for excellent reside visuals.”
The voices of beloved cartoon characters Spongebob and Patrick may be heard in “Wumbology” early within the EP, their distinct rapport strategically damaged aside and spliced collectively over a head-bobbing beat. In the meantime, “Scorching Rod (Cool Beans)” samples two scenes from the movie Scorching Rod, with Mport’s private addition of experimental bass and a horn part.
