Famend Lebanese entertainer Nadine Labaki, celebrated for her appearing, directing, and activism, joins the jury for the eightieth Venice Worldwide Movie Competition.
The competition takes place from August thirtieth to September ninth.
Famend for her roles, Labaki joins the jury’s new Affect Award, a rarity amongst main festivals, focusing solely on societal affect.
This jury, together with Labaki, evaluates movies for creative innovation, international relevance, and potential to encourage tangible motion.
