Launched in 2016, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft reached asteroid Bennu in October 2020 and picked up samples from the near-Earth asteroid’s floor.
ANU Astrophysichist and Cosmologist Brad Tucker has mentioned with Sky Information Australia OSIRIS-Rex and what researchers may discover from the pattern it introduced again.
“We noticed these samples land early Monday morning our time and now there was primarily this technique of unveiling them,” he advised Sky Information Australia.
“As a result of the way in which it labored is the contact and go system … it acted virtually like an air filter on a automotive, it sucked up and contained all these samples.
