Penrith Panthers winger Taylan Might has been arrested and charged with home violence offences.
NSW Police stated a 22-year-old man was arrested on Saturday morning.
The ABC has confirmed Mr Might was the person arrested.
In a press release, NSW Police stated the winger was alleged to have punched a lady identified to him throughout an argument in April.
“About 5am immediately (Saturday 18 Might 2024), officers connected to Nepean Police Space Command arrested a 22-year-old man at an handle at Penrith, in relation to an alleged home violence incident which occurred final month,” NSW Police stated.
“Police have been informed about 9pm on Monday 8 April 2024, the person allegedly assaulted a lady identified to him throughout an argument at a house in Werrington.
“It’s alleged he punched her within the face and leg.”
Mr Might has been charged with assault occasioning precise bodily hurt (DV), and two counts of stalk/intimidate intend worry bodily and many others hurt (DV).
He was granted bail and can seem earlier than Penrith Native Courtroom on Tuesday, Might 28.
In a press release, Mr Might’s membership stated it made the NRL Integrity Unit conscious of the costs.
