Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the Optus community outage, which occurred virtually two weeks in the past, was a “surprising incident”.
Mr Albanese’s remarks come after Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin resigned following a Senate grilling following the most important nationwide outage in telecommunications providers which left many Australians unable to connect with triple zero calls or to the web.
Mr Albanese mentioned Ms Bayer Rosmarin resigning isn’t stunning given the circumstances.
He mentioned the federal government has arrange an evaluation in an effort to see what the teachings are from the community outage.
“We’ll be clear about sending that message by to the non-public sector in addition to to the general public sector,” he advised Sky Information Australia.
