Overseas Affairs Minister Penny Wong says she’s going to proceed to make representations on behalf of Dr Yang Hengjun’s launch whereas on a visit to China later this weekend.
Ms Wong has ensured the Albanese authorities will use each alternative to make “representations on Dr Yong’s behalf”.
Dr Yang has been detained in China for almost 5 years on opaque espionage allegations.
“We now have constantly advocated on behalf of Dr Yang,” Ms Wong informed Sky Information Australia.
“We share the issues along with his household about his situation, his medical situation and his medical remedy; we’ll proceed to specific that.”
