Minns held a snap press convention this afternoon to announce Crakanthorp can be stood down from cupboard after the minister failed to provide details about “substantial” personal household land within the Hunter area.
Minns stated Crakanthorp did not reveal these holdings till lately in a breach of the ministerial code of conduct.
Crakanthorp, the Member for Newcastle, was the minister for the Hunter and held the cupboard place of minister for expertise, TAFE and tertiary schooling.
He was elected in 2014.
“I shaped the view that Minister Crakanthorp did not comply together with his obligations as a minister, he did not do it correctly (by) offering potential conflicts of curiosity to the NSW Cupboard Workplace and thru them, to me because the premier of NSW,” Minns stated.
“Minister Crakanthorp won’t be a minister in my authorities.”
Minns stated Crakanthorp’s property holdings had been disclosed to the federal government however properties owned by his spouse and in-laws weren’t.
