A gaggle of prisoners has seized hostages in a jail in Russia’s Volgograd area and a minimum of one member of the jail employees was killed, state media says.
A video circulating on Russian social media on Friday purportedly confirmed a minimum of two attackers, one among whom mentioned they had been Islamic State fighters and had seized management of the jail within the city of Surovikino.
