An armed individual is on the free in a Queensland suburb forcing police to lockdown a neighbourhood for eight hours.
An emergency declaration was made beneath the Public Security Preservation Act (PSPA) on account of an unfolding incident within the inland city of Warwick.
Police made the declaration at about 10pm on Monday after reviews an armed individual was within the space.
The lockdown pertains to all residences within the boundaries of Wooden Road, Gore Road, Grafton Road and Dragon Road.
“Residents throughout the exclusion zone are urged to remain inside their properties,” QLD police stated.
Police are at the moment conducting emergency operations within the space and requesting members of the general public and plane to not attend the declared location.
