Phishing scammers have cloned the web sites of crypto media outlet Blockworks and Ethereum blockchain scanner Etherscan to trick unsuspecting readers into interacting with a phishing web site.
A cloned Blockworks web site shows a pretend “BREAKING” information report of a supposed multimillion-dollar “approvals exploit” on the decentralized change Uniswap and encourages customers to a faked Etherscan web site to rescind approvals.
The pretend Etherscan web site, displaying a purported token and sensible contract approval checker, as a substitute comprises a sensible contract that might seemingly drain a crypto pockets when related.

An age examine of the domains reveals the pretend Etherscan web site — approvalscan.io — was registered on Oct. 25, with the faked Blockworks web site — blockworks.media registered a day later.
