Superbad, which was co-financed by Sony Footage, banned actor Jonah Hill from interacting with PlayStation merchandise on-screen.
Actor and filmmaker Seth Rogan spoke on the crimson carpet (by way of VGC) at South By South West, answering a query about ridiculous requests from manufacturing studios. That is when he instructed the story of Hill’s character being “too vile.”
“On Superbad, we had been instructed that Jonah Hill’s character, Seth, was so reprehensible to the studio that they had been like, there’s a scene the place they’re taking part in video video games and (Sony) was like ‘Jonah can’t contact a PlayStation.’
They had been like ‘we will’t have him work together with our merchandise, as a result of it’s too vile a personality’ and I used to be like ‘it’s based mostly on me, that’s very insulting’, however we accommodated them, finally.”
What do you assume? Was this request bizarre or what? Tell us beneath!
