Three youngsters stranded alongside a distant stretch of shoreline have been rescued after their determined plea for assist written within the sand was noticed from the air.
The marooned trio’s 4WD turned bogged within the Hutt Lagoon space south of Kalbarri, about 100km southwest of Geraldton on the Western Australian coast on Saturday.
A pilot flying close by notified Air Site visitors Management about 3pm after recognizing a ‘HELP’ misery message written within the sand with a stationary automobile close by.
