Having remade so many different of their basic animated films, Disney now turns to their very first animated function — and their very first animated princess. Snow White was the film that cemented Disney’s fortunes in Hollywood — and now it’s been remade with live-action actors within the key roles.

The 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was not solely a milestone for Disney, it was a milestone for animation as a medium; it was the primary feature-length animated movie made within the U.S. Its huge success with the general public fueled Disney’s rise in standard tradition, and though the movie is now some 80 years outdated, it stays a timeless favourite, and continues to function the inspiration for toys and theme park sights and garments.
