Giancarlo Esposito, who performed Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, has weighed in on the way forward for the Star Wars universe, and what he sees taking place past the The Mandalorian and Grogu movie, which is headed our approach in 2026.
Throughout a latest look at Dragon Con (by way of Tradition Slate), Esposito relayed the vibe he’s getting from the Star Wars creators, and what he sees taking place with the characters within the TV reveals:
“As within the MCU… Disney will work out the way to be part of all of those characters into one actually nice film or TV present. That’s my sense of the place it is going to go. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have a brand new imaginative and prescient, persevering with on with a Mandalorian film… My sense is that it’s all going to converge at one level or one other and we’re going to have one other set of… [a] trilogy, or extra, of movies.”
Esposito hasn’t been confirmed to return within the upcoming Mando and Grogu film, since he was suspected to have died in season 3, although we wouldn’t be shocked if he did make a comeback.
Pedro Pascal is returning within the title function of bounty hunter Din Djarin, with Sigourney Weaver becoming a member of him in an undisclosed function, whereas showrunner Jon Favreau is directing from a script he wrote with Dave Filoni.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is ready to hit the large display on Could 22, 2026. Are you hoping to see the opposite Star Wars TV characters converge with Mando in future movies?
