Emmy-nominated actress Teri Hatcher (Lois & Clark, Determined Housewives) is ready to star within the upcoming Lifetime film, The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story, based mostly on the true story of an unassuming housewife who turns into the goal of a mysterious stalker whom she and the cops worry is the BTK Slayer.
“The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story follows Ruth (Hatcher) and her husband, Ed’s (Tahmoh Penikett), tranquil life in Wichita, Kansas which is out of the blue turned the wrong way up when Ed suffers a coronary heart assault.
“As Ed fights for his life within the hospital, Ruth begins to obtain mysterious threats, leaving her in a state of panic. With town held hostage by the phobia of the BTK killer, Ruth finds herself enveloped in paranoia, satisfied that she would be the subsequent sufferer, because the menacing telephone calls escalate into chilling letters.”
“Amidst the frenzy of the police’s pursuit of BTK, Ruth is kidnapped, sending shockwaves by means of the neighborhood. But her sudden reappearance shortly after the kidnapping leaves investigators baffled and scrambling for solutions.
“As suspicion mounts and new proof involves gentle, the authorities entertain the unsettling notion that the perpetrator could also be somebody intimately related to Ruth.”
The movie is written by Katie Gruel and directed by Greg Beeman, and Hatcher stars alongside Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica).
The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story is ready to premiere on Saturday, June 29.
