Tom Swift has swiftly gotten the boot at CW. The low-rated, Nancy Drew spinoff solely launched on Might 31 and featured a predominantly Black solid. It began off as an unconventional backdoor pilot, with solely Tian Richards (as Tom) getting an introduction on Nancy Drew final season. The remainder of the characters had been solid after the challenge was picked as much as sequence in August.
We hear CBS Studios, which is behind Tom Swift, is making an attempt to increase the choices on the solid and hoping to buy the sequence elsewhere.
The CW brass have stated that they just like the present creatively. The cancellation is alleged to be performance-based as Tom Swift is among the many CW’s least watched sequence on linear, with 535K viewers in Stay+7, in addition to on streaming.
