Vicky McClure has revealed the heartbreaking lack of her beloved grandfather, Ralph McClure, who peacefully handed away aged 99 on Monday morning.
Taking to social media, the Line of Obligation star shared the unhappy information with a touching tribute to her grandad, expressing her gratitude for having “so many particular recollections”.
Alongside a sequence of photographs of her grandfather, who was a D-Day veteran, the 41-year-old actress penned: “My Grandad Ralph peacefully handed away this morning.
“His love for soccer, gardening and his household stored him younger all these years. I really feel so grateful having so many particular recollections with him.
“A a lot liked hero by all and a loving Grandad to all his grandkids and nice grandkids.”
She continued: “Sleep nicely Grandad, again with Nana Jean now, laughing and dancing within the stars.”
