The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton says Vivek Ramaswamy’s votes will go straight into Donald Trump’s “column” after suspending his marketing campaign.
After coming in fourth place in Iowa, Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out of the Republican race and threw his help behind Donald Trump.
“That’s an enormous assist to Trump as a result of he bought 8 per cent … which is rather a lot from a man who no one had even heard of over a yr in the past,” Mr Creighton instructed Sky Information host Sharri Markson.
“As for a future function within the administration; sure, I feel that’s in all probability what he’s angling for, and Donald Trump fairly likes him.”
After Ramaswamy’s withdrawal from the race, Mr Trump praised his Republican rival, saying he did a “hell of a job”.
