Hey all, solo dev here. Just published my puzzle game Palette Drift on Google Play and wanted to share it. The pitch: it plays like a chess puzzle, except the pieces are colours. Pick a colour, pick a direction, and every block of that colour slides until it hits a wall, another block, or a portal ring. The catch is the same as chess: the value of a move depends on what happens after it. Moving one colour first can open a path for another, or permanently block it, so you're planning a sequence, not just reacting one move at a time. Grading works the same way a chess puzzle rates you: solve it in the minimum number of moves and you get Optimal; one move over is Efficient; anything more still counts as Solved. Portal rings show up from level 21 onward, and by the later levels a single slide can chain through two different portals in one move, closer to spotting a forced combination than just sliding a block. 50 hand-tuned levels, a daily challenge with its own streak, and a hint system that shows the next correct move without spoiling the rest. No ads, no accounts, no tracking, fully offline.
