Scholar Adventure is coming back with Lost Night. The second game in the series, it’s being made by indie studio Making Enemies, with DevilishGames as publisher. The game will arrive in 2027 on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox, iOS, and Android.
What’s the story in Scholar Adventure: Lost Night?
William, the young writer from the first title, is guided into the Ruins of Azig by an ancient artefact. Azig is an endless, mystical desert where the sun hasn’t set for 1,000 years. The Sun Cult has ruled Azig for 1,000 years, protecting the existing order and making sure the kingdom stays exactly the way it is.
Its leader, the Architect, built the Great Pyramid specifically to keep the kingdom trapped in eternal day. But a thousand years beneath the sun has left Azig’s city and temples devastated. And the hopes of its people are buried under the sand alongside the biggest secret of them all: the Night.
William is also following the Abbot’s notes and an ancient prophecy as he digs into what happened to this place. Along the way, he meets Tarek, a young woman who desperately wants to learn about the stars. Scholar Adventure: Lost Night is a symbolic adventure with touches of dark humour, where every shadow is hiding something and even the frightening stuff happens in broad daylight.
Just like its predecessor Scholar Adventure: Mystery of Silence, Lost Night is also going for a pixel art style with a distinctive look. The game has a charming and charismatic cast of characters, character-focused dialogue, and an immersive soundtrack.
Making Enemies and DevilishGames have now revealed the first teaser for Scholar Adventure: Lost Night. The game’s Steam page is also live now, so you can add it to your wishlist. The game
supports English, Spanish, Catalan, and Basque languages.
