How to Survive Snowy Areas in Slayers 2
To survive Snowy Areas in Slayers 2, you need to unlock the Emberheart Lantern, which has a 25% drop chance from the Yeti Boss found within the White Terror lair, a cave deep below the Butterfly Estate.
First, speak to Old Trapper Retsu, who sits on the bounds of the Snowy Area entrance. He will allude to obtaining a Frozen Heart for the Yeti.
Frozen Hearts have a 10% drop chance from Rare Chests, Sealed Cache T1, T2, and T3, or can be found sold via the Black Market.
Once you have a Frozen Heart, travel towards the Butterfly Estate, drop off the bridge into the water, and then enter the cave. Return the Frozen Heart to the Yeti to awaken him, and then defeat him for a 25% chance to get the Emberheart Lantern.
Emberheart Lantern
Its ember holds off Iceveil’s freeze while it burns, then must be rekindled beside a campfire.

When equipped, the Emberheart Lantern offers temporary protection from the biting cold of the tundra areas. However, the Lantern loses durability as it’s used and requires recharging at campfires, which exist sporadically around the snowy area, providing temporary but stationary protection from the snow tick DMG.
Your cold immunity timer is located in the bottom left, next to your health, where other stat buffs appear.
Clan Immunity
An alternative way to gain cold immunity is through rolling the Douma Clan (Mythic: 0.9% roll chance). Alongside permanent immunity to the cold (whilst having this Clan), you’ll also unlock the following passives:
- Pain Resistance: When HP is low, speed is no longer reduced.
- Reactive Adaptation:
- Take 50% less Poison and Flame DMG.
- Immune to Cold DMG.
- Keen Intellect: Evil Art and Weapon Mastery increase by 25%

How do I find Cache Chests?
These spawn randomly around the map, imbued with a red aura, and surrounded by NPCs which you need to defeat in order to open the Chest. The T1 to T3 determines the difficulty and chances of obtaining certain high-value loot.
Do other Lanterns provide snow immunity?
Most other Lanterns provide no temporary sanctuary from the snow; however, the Everburn Lantern does provide Snow Immunity as well.
