Start With Barely A Field
Ancient Farm drops you onto empty land with basic tools and leaves you to turn it into something worthwhile. Pretty much like in Farming Simulator then – just without the modern day tools.
Fields need to be prepared, crops planted and watered, while fertilising at the right time can make the difference between a healthy harvest and watching your hard work disappear. There’s no automation to take the strain away, so planning and timing are very much part of the job.
As the farm develops, you’ll gain access to more crops, fruit trees and riverside plants including papyrus and sugar cane.
Build More Than A Farm
Agriculture is only the beginning. Animals including cows, sheep, pigs and hens provide additional resources, while oxen can help with ploughing as the operation expands.
Materials can be gathered and turned into tools, while your growing settlement can eventually include barns, production buildings, workshops and temples.
That progression gives Ancient Farm a little more ambition than simply filling fields with crops. Raw materials can be processed, meals cooked and goods traded, with those activities helping push the farm towards something considerably larger.
