By this point in a season of Big Brother, the game is generally pretty predictable.
The action and intrigue slow down because the same people keep winning competitions, and the endgame drags.
But things shifted on Monday when the feeds went down, and a surprise eviction played out.
When they returned, Melody was evicted, with the houseguests reacting to her finishing in fifth place.
Melody could have been dragged to the season finale, but her back-to-back wins during last week’s double eviction and getting Yash out raised her threat level.
Devens didn’t want her in the house after the Final Five, and he got his wish by sending her out the door on Monday.
I’m not too fond of Big Brother evictions that aren’t live because I believe the game is most authentic when these big moments play out live.
Then, the evicted houseguest gets a standing ovation from the audience. It’s all part of the experience.
Both Hayley and Melody were robbed of that, which is a damn shame.
Big Brother Season 28 Is in the Endgame
Anyway, after the feeds returned on Monday to Melody gone, they went back down for the Head of Household competition.
Things got very interesting when Taylor eked out the victory.
Taylor has been in a bit of a rut competition-wise, and this win meant that she had the opportunity to get a big threat out of the game.
Obviously, the Veto winner has all the power in this round, but still, Dee, Drew, or Devens will be leaving the house on Taylor’s Head of Household.
That’s a big thing.
Dee has been camtalking about wanting to cut Devens, and she’s even entertaining doing it this round because she feels that he’d be the biggest competition at the Final Head of Household.
Honestly, it would be a bad game for Dee to cut Devens now because there’s a chance he would take her to the final two.
Dee knows she has to cut her fellow Survivor star sooner rather than later, but Devens seems locked in.
Taylor could win this competition and have all the power this week, and that would be a great move for her.
If Drew wins, he’ll have to choose between ending Dee’s or Devens’ games, and I just don’t know which way he will go.
Drew hasn’t made the best decisions throughout Big Brother Season 28, but he has a tricky decision ahead of him.
If he cuts Devens, he cuts the season’s biggest competition beast and clears a path for him to win out the final HOH.

If he cuts Dee, she should be able to sway the jurors her way by owning her decisions and moves.
Drew has played a scared game, and many of the jurors will pick up on that, and I don’t see a path for him to win… unless he wins the Veto and the final HOH.
The Big Brother Live Feeds went down on Tuesday, and when they returned, Drew was revealed as the winner.
This winner is the sole vote to evict this week, so they hold all the power.
