Evil Empire has revealed that the recent Anniversary Update for The Rogue Prince of Persia brings the game’s post-launch support to a close.
Speaking in a post on its official X account, the studio revealed that over one million players have experienced The Rogue Prince of Persia, and that while they originally planned two updates, the team decided to combine the best of both worlds into one patch. We wanted to share that the Anniversary Update recently released is our final update for The Rogue Prince of Persia. We originally planned two updates, but decided to bring the best and most important parts of both int this one. We’ve always been a bit too optimistic about what we could do, mostly because we genuinely love working on the game, but we feel this is the right way to wrap up its first year.
More than one million players have played The Rogue Prince of Persia, which is pretty crazy to think about for our very first game as a studio. It’s been an honour and a privilege to work on such an iconic franchise, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played, supported us, or followed along.
The Rogue Prince of Persia was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in April 2025, and we called it ‘simply one of the best Prince of Persia games ever made‘ in our review.
