Gobby Gang was first revealed in March 2026. At that point, developer Matrioshka Games had the core idea, physics, and voxel technology working fine. But they decided to rebuild the game from the ground up since something wasn’t clicking.
Now, the team has shared the fresh look of the game post that rebuild. It includes a complete overhaul of the art direction, more personality for the world and characters, expanded treasure-hunting gameplay, and lots of new things.
Gobby Gang is Matrioshka Games’ upcoming multiplayer party game, with Wandering Wizard publishing it for PC. It’s a 4-player co-op physics heist game where you control mischievous creatures who are rebelling against their oppressors deep underground.
There’s a new trailer showing off the updated art style, along with different weapons and tools. The game lets you play as a goblin, dragon, raccoon, fish, mushroom, and other fantasy creatures. They haul enormous and very volatile objects through hostile voxel caves in an underground Shift. Take a look at the trailer below.
Gobby Gang brings emergent chaos
Questionable plans and everything going wrong at the same time are part of the experience. You’ve got screaming goblins, collapsing caverns, explosives flying through the air, and the possibility of getting crushed by the tunnels you literally just dug.
If there’s a wall in your way, you can dig through it. If there’s no opening, you can make one. If something looks suspiciously explosive, well, you already know what you’re supposed to do. And if you can destroy the cave, the cave can also make your life miserable. So, yeah, it’s not an easy life.
There’s no official release date yet, but Gobby Gang is available to wishlist on Steam.
