The Aniimo Secret of the Golden Helmet quest is easy to miss if you haven’t explored the Russet Highlands properly. There are various Hidden Scenes like this in Aniimo, each of which grants rewards upon completion. As well as regional forms, like Mountain Woods, there are also plenty of Aniimo Weather Forms to collect, too.
Aniimo Secret of the Golden Helmet
The Secret of the Golden Helmet is one of the many Hidden Scenes in Aniimo. This one in particular is located in the Russet Highlands. While it’s somewhat of a side quest, it’s required if you want to catch the Mountain Woods form of Helmut.
How to Complete the Secret of the Golden Helmet Scene
As stated in-game, the Devoted Helmut guards the Golden Helmet and turns away anyone who dares to approach. Your task is to somehow get the Golden Helmet, which can only be done by Twining with one of your Aniimo.
Now, the most straightforward option is to Twine with a Helmut in your collection to trick the Devoted Helmut. However, some players have opted to use Aniimo that have the Cloak ability. This includes:
- Wisptis
- Forms:
- Basic, Forest, Highland, and Prismana
- Forms:
- Ignitis
- Forms:
- Basic, Forest, Highland, and Prismana
- Forms:
- Fulmintis
- Forms:
- Basic, Forest, Highland, and Prismana
- Forms:
Cloak is a mobility skill which allows you to enter something called the Cloak State. While active, this turns you invisible, as long as you Twine with the correct Aniimo. The easiest one to get out of the list above is Wisptis, which spawns at Berylline Vale during the night. Fulmintis is locked behind the Advanced Edition of the Companion Handbook, which requires real money.
Once you take the Golden Helmet, a Mountain Woods Helmut spawns, another variant you may not have obtained yet. To complete this scene, you need to catch the Mountain Woods Helmut successfully. While this the Mountain Woods form is your reward, it also unlocks the ability to catch additional Mountain Woods Helmuts, as well as the Mountain Wood variant of Rookey.
Mountain Woods Helmut
As far as I know, the Mountain Woods Helmut offers no changes from its basic form counterpart other than how it looks. The base stats of a regular Helmut and the Mountain Woods Helmut are the same, as well as abilities such as combat skills, innate skills, and mobility skills.
Other than its appearance, one of the other differences is that evolving the Mountain Woods Helmut means you can get the Mountain Woods versions of Pawney or Rookey after reaching level 45. These evolutions both have their own unlock requirements, though.
For example, Mountain Woods Pawney can be evolved from a Mountain Woods Helmut after you complete the Sword of Bravery quest. For the Mountain Woods Rookey, you need the passive talent ‘Unwavering Rampart’ and defeat a specified opponent in Defense Mode as you deal damage with a Counter skill.
To get the Unwavering Rampart passive talent, you must reach Trailblazer 1, which is easy enough when completing Elite Training missions. This passive is exclusive to Rookey and can only be obtained once you have this Aniimo.
