Kylie Jenner has officially sold her Hidden Hills, California, mansion that she acquired at the age of 19. The 1.4-acre property was initially listed for $20.3 million in March. However, reports reveal that Kylie received $15.3 million for the sale this month.
The beauty mogul has owned the property since 2016, when she purchased it for $12.05 million. The abode boasts eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms across more than 13,200 square feet of interior living space.
Kylie transformed the property over the years to suit her shifting tastes. The home is now bathed in warm neutrals rather than bold pops of neon color. Key features include an open floor plan that is connected to the yard via hideaway glass walls. The patio houses an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit lounge, a pool and spa, and a courtyard. Inside, one can find a movie theater, a game room with a wet bar, an office with a fireplace, an attached guest suite, and a luxury primary suite detailed with dual dressing rooms.
“I told Martyn Lawrence Bullard I wanted a fresh, fun vibe to match the way I was feeling. Color was essential. I love pink, and I wanted a lot of it,” Kylie told Architectural Digest at the time of the original purchase. “When we started this project, [Kylie] wasn’t even old enough to drink legally. This was her first really grown-up house,” the designer shared.
Kylie Jenner’s big home move
Charlie Lankston, Realtor.com editor and resident expert on celebrity real estate, spoke to HELLO! in March about Kylie’s listing and why she chose to reshuffle her property portfolio.
“For ultra-high-net-worth individuals, portfolio reshuffling is usually driven by someone’s evolving lifestyle rather than market timing,” she shared. “In Kylie’s case, the move is likely motivated by the fact that she has nearly completed work on a custom mansion in the same neighborhood – one that she has designed to suit her every need. “
Kylie purchased a sprawling plot of land in Hidden Hills for $15 million in 2020, and has spent over five years renovating the estate. As per the planning applications, the home boasts 18,000 square feet and features a 12-car garage, a guesthouse, a sport court, a security office, and a swimming pool.
In a YouTube video, the Kylie Cosmetics founder called her new abode a “beautiful dream Italian home”.
“The new home offers more space, privacy, and flexibility for raising her family and entertaining. The timing could also suggest her next chapter with partner Timothée Chalamet, whom she’s been seeing since early 2023 – potentially even combining households, though that remains speculation,” added Charlie.
